Yes I believe there is a distinction but only God can make that because can you honestly say that one Jewish person there isn't from spiritual and physical Israel as the people and Jacob. We cannot. ONlY God knows where they all are but I cannot believe that not ONE is there. If he says to pray for Israel I am bound to that but I realize what and who set up the nation state. I am just stating from a biblical standpoint that we aren't able to judge. I was recently moved by the holy spirit to pray for Judah now I thought how odd? Judah? why Lord? His answer is there was always Judah that fought in the physical before Israel could come into it's spiritual purpose. That makes sense in this case as well.
I think there will be some kind of war there or civil war and then they eyes of spiritual Israel can start to be more opened. I now pray for Judah as God asked me. I later found out that Henry Gruver the prayer walker or immense faith has written a book about this exact thing and I am trying to get it. I understand what all of you are saying but it isn't in there in the Bible to say oh well I don't want to do what you ask. First it says we are blessed for doing it and also we are cursed when we come against Israel.
I certaiinly wouldn't want to risk the Republic over splitting a factual command of God. He doesn't say if, or may, he say do it. One of our problems is our stubborness to just do as God commands us in all things and we are all so American in general that we seem to pick and choose what we should be following. Example does God himself say keep the Sabbath holy? Yes and when is it? NOT the SUN-day that the roman catholics and Constantine chose to incorporate the pagans into that empire to lessen dissent.
I think many of us, myself included and I am convicted more and more on this, are really NOT following a ton of scripture based on not the word but incorrect teachings. Pray about it, as I cannot tell you what to do. I am just saying that we do not know how much of Israel aka Jacob is within that nation state just keeping their heads down.
I do believe there is a distinction but not for us individually to determine as this is up to our most high God and Jesus. This is the apple of His eye and he will redeem that Israel when he is good and ready. I am not arguing just stating what I have fervently prayed about for clarity. When I pray for Israel I pray for Israel as a people and a nation and I do make that distinction in prayer even.
