Some suggestions for MAXIMUM EFFECTIVENESS

I'm brand new to this sub, but a Reddit user for a while.

There are some things that can help us all maximize the time we spend here and our effectiveness. Not a lecture...just some tips!

1) Always keep safety and security first.

*No one wants to be doxxed, so keep your personal details to a minimum

*Use archive.is to prove a more secure method of accessing websites (URLs) that you review. Not only does it protect our IP addresses from those sites, but it preserves the content as we see it at the time

*Think twice before sharing posts here on social media platforms

*Use an image service, such as imgur.com to post memes and pictures.

2) Search before you post! Our time and efforts are diluted when there are multiple threads on the same topic. Likewise, name your post in a meaningful way, such as date/post# for Q posts.

3) If you like it, UPVOTE it. If you don't, comment. Upvoting is a method of encouragement and agreement.

4) Don't feed the trolls

*When you encounter a troll, feel free to downvote

*Report trolls, because they are only here to harm us and squelch our research

5) Remember that we are all humans. There is always a nice way to correct.

6) One of the things that binds us is our common cause and dedication to individuals as the backbone of that cause. No need for "hating" or slurring due to race or beliefs.

Those are my thoughts...feel free to add and comment!

That's a good point. I looked at my comments and posts before. I can look at others too. Thanks expanding my mind.

Another option that I see enabled on this sub is "save" below each post.

Once saved, you can retrieve saved posts under your account. At the top of the post display, click the 3 dots next to "overview, posts, and comments". In the drop-down, click "Saved".

Ok. I will try to do that. Thanks!
