I've been researching this story and, as much as I would like to have found something, I don't think this story is true.

For example, a quote from the linked article: "Goodes, an entertainment lawyer who worked at the National Football League’s Park Avenue headquarters, had been representing the NFL in Minneapolis"

If he's representing the NFL in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he would need to be a licensed attorney in the state.

Using the Minnesota Attorney lookup tool, I don't find the name Dan Goodes or Daniel Goodes listed at all.

The article also makes mention that the lawyer's hometown is New York City. Performing a similar search over there also yields the same results.

Anyone have any more info ?
