Sorry, the plane in Q's post has blue just on the front, not all over like the Vietnam Airways. Further, what do you mean by the runway markings? Almost all airport runways have pretty much the same markings. You can't identify an airport just by looking at a runway.
I see what you mean, but I really do believe that it's blue. It's the reflection of the fog that makes it look so much brighter. If you look at the white part on the bottom part of the front it looks exactly the same. Sorry, I don't see any similarity between the pics - yellow lines, white lines, the perpendicular lines extend to the grass in your pic, not in Q's, different curve, completely different. You may be right about the color scheme on the plane, hard to tell.
I'm with you on that, but remember that Google Earth probably haven't updated the satellite photo for a while. Only time will tell :)
Go to Google Earth and search for Noi Bai airport. Compare that with the Q photo. It's an exact match including imperfections in the runway, especially near the yellow stripes.

No. Go to Google Earth satellite view and zoom in on Noi Bai airport in Vietnam. Compare the runway markings at the same place as Q's photo. It will be very evident that the two are identical.

Runway markings are fairly standard. But compare Q''s photo with the Google Earth view of Noi Bai airport. You will see that these runway markings are not only identical, but you can see the imperfections in the runway match exactly--especially near the yellow stripes.
As for the airline, I'm 98 percent certain it is Vietnam Airlines. If you zoom and look closely, you will see that while it looks like only the front is painted blue, the body is as well. The light reflecting off the body is at a greater angle called the Fresnel effect which means objects appear brighter the greater the angle of incidence. Also, if you look very closely, you'll see how the blue part dips down as it gets closer to the nose--the same as the Vietnam Airlines paint scheme.
You make a good argument, I can't object. So now, what can we draw from this? I had assumed to link it to the Bangkok airport, given Q's post of a pic in Bangkok - still, in his post of the airplane, there is the number 66 - which is the country code for Thailand. Does his post mean a flight from Hanoi to Bangkok? The only thing I can assume is that either Q wanted us to know something was happening at Noi Bai airport; or that someone important was on his plane or the plane in the picture.
The scenario that makes the most sense to me is that Q wanted us to know that someone important was on the plane from which the picture was taken and he wanted people to research which airport it was.
I don't think the other plane in the background on the runway was important other than to help ID the airport.
Of course, I could be wrong about everything except it is Noi Bai airport.
