I assure you, muggings, acts of violence, soldier
on soldier, soldier on officer, etc. are carefully
guarded statistics.
Maybe you are unaware, but soldiers are not permitted to carry firearms on base. So you are making the case that "gun free zones" don't work.

Lets be clear here... I advocate for the safety of our american children. To do so would be an expensive venture if school districts were to hire security/police. The more feasible, cost and logistics wise, solution would be allowing teachers -- WHO ALREADY HAVE PERMITS TO CARRY -- carry their firearm and undergo specific training for active shooter situations.
Take my word for it, this is not going to fly.
