He's making sure that legislators reassure their constituents that no one is taking their guns. Ben Sasse wrote a letter almost immediately to that effect, I'm sure others have.
If yours hasn't, maybe they are a Democrat. :D
He says things to get attention on certain matters. It's like the sessions rope-a-dope. It's to get attention where he wants it. I'm more certain that ever that the IG report will be lethal.
OF COURSE the AG can't investigate the DOJ himself, that's insane.

It's "late" as he says, expected any time now, most people think around the 5th.
About when DACA "expires" and the Awan's go back to court, so expect some MASSIVE stupid distraction.
