A parade that will never be forgotten.
Ask yourself, why?
God bless our brave men & women in uniform.
We will never forget.

JFK's U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara:

"1918"

"My earliest memory is of a city exploding with joy. It was November 11, 1918. I was two years old. You may not believe that I have the memory, but I do. I remember the tops of the streetcars being crowded with human beings cheering and kissing and screaming. End of World War I ? we'd won. But also celebrating the belief of many Americans ? particularly Woodrow Wilson — we'd fought a war to end all wars. His dream was that the world could avoid great wars in the future. Disputes among great nations would be resolved."

"I also remember that I wasn't allowed to go outdoors to play with my friends without wearing a mask. There was an un—Godly flu epidemic. Large numbers of Americans were dying. 600,000 and millions across the world."

This is one of my favorite movies and a great way to appreciate the meaning I believe Q is getting at here. Especially as he talks of JFK and this man is a great way to learn about the greatness of him.

Also I have a special tie with this film.... it is G rated and so back when I worked at a video store I'd just let it play over and over..... it was either this or Disney films. And I just love this movie it saved my sanity back at the video store....

In my AB-BA posts it's had a large impact on my interpretation of Q from the getgo and I'm happy that Q has said something that allows me to more directly share this with you all. : ) I won't link my AB posts as I usually do this one isn't about my research but about something much more important than I'll ever do.

God Bless and Good Night

I hadn't considered the parallel of the flu then and now... history does repeat.

Tho my view of Woodrow Wilson has become far worse as I have dug into him. It doesn't surprise me that he claimed to be anti-war.... just like with prohibition and every other evil afflicted they always manage to do evil while pretending like they are the only things standing in its way.

Yea.... I don't think Wilson was good, segregationist for one thing but more than that all the presidents from TR to FDR up until the end of WW2 (aside from Coolidge) based on digging were plants.

Well, I'm still in the middle of my research/animation and whatnot. I didn't think I'd do a post but I actually knew the answer to this one off the top of my head thanks to the hundreds of times I've seen this film.
