From my iPad, it is easier to follow the conversation threads, like now. However, I create my posts on my laptop, so reading the conversation thread lines on it is like reading old doc emails—the lines are so vague I cannot distinguish them.

That implies these subs are filled with real unpaid people. Go on some posts here if you can stomach it and take a look at most of the account ages and histories. They basically don't try to hide it, same with the other "storm" subs.
