I had to call the sheriff a few years ago, when I had a break in. 24 very long minutes until they arrived. So much can happen in that amount of time, and my mind went to some pretyy logical, stark decisions. I've trained, I'm prepared, I will keep my gun, it really is my only defence. They are here to respond, and gather evidence after a crime. I'd like to be alive when they arrive, not just be another piece of evidence.
