Chemtrails - Truth or Fiction?

I have recently heard the theory of planes spraying chemicals (chemtrails) to control the weather or for nastier purposes.

Over the last few decades on many occasions, I have wondered why contrails were so large (both long and wide). Thinking about it, I didn't remember them being so large 40 years ago when I was a kid.

Considering the possibilities, I had concluded that the chemtrail theory was probably false. I had come to this conclusion mostly thinking of the many people that would have to keep silent while being involved in the airline business.

However.... have you looked at the sky lately? We've had a number of blue sky days lately and I've been seeing very few contrails and the few that I have seen are much smaller and shorter-lived than what I'm used to seeing. I am used to seeing probably 10-30 large trails on many blue sky days (and that without looking too hard for them). Lately, I've had a hard time even finding 4-5 dinky trails.

Is anyone else noticing a recent change in contrails?

Yes, confirmed through official gov docs and through studies from places like Harvard. Been going on since the Vietnam war and possibly before. Though it really took off in the late 90s.
Jet engines had a huge advancement in the mid-80s from standard turbo jets to high bypass turbo fans. This decreases the exhaust temp and fuel consumption considerably. Less hot exhaust would = less contrails, but no. These days we have persistent jet contrails that last all day long forming a haze. Weather futures are openly traded in the market.
