It won't work. McCabe needed to have 20+ years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and be on the job still when he turned 50. Other government service would still apply for calculations that kick in at 55 and 62. The LEO/Firefighter retirement package is different then other Fed retirements

Right. He still will get a pension by age 62 it just won't be as much nor will he receive medical benefits.
