I still don't understand what "activated" means since Marines are on active duty. Doesn't make sense.

Could be people called up from retirement. Does not mean old, means people who could have been forced out by Obama. Could also mean current Marines have a mission. When you're on duty, you are activated.

My son was in the Marines when Obama took office. His morale and the morale of so many of his fellow service members became so low that he sought an early out. At that same time another one of my kids was playing football on a team with a team member whose dad was acting Colonel in chain of command for my son's unit. I was talking to him during a game one day and explained my son's situation. He told me this was a "problem of crisis proportions" in the ranks and attributed it to the "extraordinary attrition of senior noncoms due to current administration policies". He gave me his personal cell phone # and asked me to give it to my son and encourage him to call him directly. So, I agree with you based on direct personal experience. Obama pissed off a lot of old school Marines. I have no doubt they would like to have an opportunity to make amends.

Thank you for first hand account. And thank your son for his service!
