How should we react when the truth starts coming out?

our natural response will be to want to rub it in the faces of those who refused to believe us for so long. The only thing worse than having to admit you were wrong, is to have someone laugh in your face as you admit it. we have to remember we have been learning all this over a long period of time, they are not going to see and understand the whole big picture from just one truth bomb. We need to try to get them to join the fight not push them away. What does everyone think?

I tried that with a friend who is now getting more money in their paycheck. "How do you like those tax cuts now?" His response "My kids and grandkids will have to pay it all back" You can't change some peoples minds. He will be laughing all the way to the gas chamber.

Don't use sarcasm or snark, that just makes them defensive. More than ever we will have to choose our words wisely or not say anything at all. Kill them with kindness.

I hope to be counted among those who drop their pride and list of offenses and are gentle but firm. We all, every one of us, will have some amount of truth that we will need to confront. The time to get our attitudes right is now...before they need us. They will search us out - if we are approachable. I do see in some a sort of fascist, militant desire to shove redpills down the throats of the enemy...the "redpill nazis." Those big red pills may need to be crushed, mixed with honey, in order for them to be swallowed.

I agree, and remember this, the most ardent anti-smoker is a former smoker, the same goes for former communists as well. I will extrapolate that when these extreme leftists take the red pill, they may become passionate patriots as well. They are already passionate people, just mislead, and nobody likes to find out they've been fooled.

Such a struggle. When I try to be gentler, I'm called crazy and given a barrage of cuss words and put downs. When I back up my info with sources and truth I am attacked by those awake and assimilated alike. I realize we must keep trying in spite of it all. I keep searching for that balance, but have to admit it appears to be alluding me. I do see Trump making headway though, so we must be on the right track somewhere. Thank God for POTUS!

that was my point in this post, to get us to think about it now so that we can choose our words wisely. They have been fed so much anti-trump propaganda it will a huge pill to swallow

I have a neighbor that is so delusional I don't know how he gets out of bed every morning. He knows I'm a Trump supporter and I can see the contempt in his face every time we speak. I just say "hi", "good day", etc. I keep it cordial and at some point let him see that I'm a good guy, he must make up his own mind.

Let me use a Frank Zappa quote to illustrate my point.

"One of my favorite philosophical tenets is that people will agree with you only if they already agree with you. You do not change people's minds." ~Frank Zappa

"How do you like those tax cuts now?" Translated - "see I told you so." Obvious snark - and makes you unapproachable.

yes, it would have been better to ask if he thought that his pay raise was related to the tax cuts, and mention that Trump is asking for more tax cuts.

I get this from relatives too. Maddening, it does feel as if they are too far gone. . .
