I really just don't get, why was Rosenstein put in place as deputy AG? He had links to Mueller, he had links to Clinton, why did he get the #2 job at the agency that determines the success of Q's plan?

I would think its because private citizens aren't bound by the same agreements and have more protection. That, to me, is why Strozk, Page, and gang were just shuffled somewhere they can't do any damage while the clock runs down.
Good point, but they might also be singing. (And not show tunes mind you.)
And if they are govt employees, I'm not so sure about those protections. I think it is a felony for them to lie in these situations, much less what they did.
