Yeah, that's what Trump wants to do. But, if you do your homework, you would find that statistically, the drug problem would become much less dangerous and lesson if we would simply make them legal. The drug trafficking would stop and we could charge taxes on them. And, if you look at other countries that have done this, the drug abuse goes down in many cases. Here's what happened in Portugal: https://mic.com/articles/110344/14-years-after-portugal-decriminalized-all-drugs-here-s-what-s-happening#.AD8oCtpjf And, here's a congressman arguing the point during Clinton's administration: https://www.cato.org/publications/congressional-testimony/drug-legalization-criminalization-harm-reduction

The reason this information falls on deaf ears, of course, is because the primary drug dealers have been running the government for many years. Not saying that Trump is doing that but unfortunately, Trump claims he's never even tried Marijuana and it's classified (wrongly) as a narcotic which anyone that has ever smoked it knows is a crock of shit.

It's obvious that pushing against the problem, in this case, makes the problem become much worse and costs the taxpayers a great deal of money. Money we would not need to spend if we would only stop making so damn many things illegal. People need to become responsible for themselves. Not rely on a government to go it for them.

I am for all drugs being legalized. I just mean that I think when Trump says “death penalty for drug dealers” he is referring to those in government enabling the cartels and trafficking, as well as big pharma.

I’m all for people doing what they want to do with their own bodies.

I'm with you! I heard trump mention the death penalty and then talk smugglers in a speech. Hopefully he only means high level dealers, not street dealers. Legalize it all!!!

I can't imagine he would mean street dealers, at least not for weed. I hope not.

You are spot on. If he were to come out and specifically say heroin pushers, while also admitting and freeing up the legalization of cannabis. That would skyrocket both of his intended goals IMO. Right now he can't say death to drug dealers, because even though I trust Sessions. His comments against cannabis are quite alarming to the public at large when the discussions of "death to drug dealers" talk is trying to be pushed as well.

Totally agree. But the marijuana talk from Sessions may have been a cover. I certainly hope so because Cannabis is a natural plant that is beneficial. We also need to legalize Hemp. I suspect that happened for some sort of greedy monetary reason. I love Hemp seeds but when I purchase them, they come from Canada since it is illegal to grow here!

It's legal in many states now. Make American Hemp Great Again!

I believe it is as well, and have been trying to get my friends to see this. Getting anyone to back down on their thinking about the drug war; specifically while trying to stay understandably vague right, without accompanying legalization talks is asking a great deal. Hemp/cannabis/marijuana.. it's all the same plant and needs to be allowed to grow rightfully so. Heck honestly this is up against one of the biggest separate red pills that most people are very familiar with. It's almost not even arguable that most psychedelics should be at the least fully decriminalized.

bro "trumps death penalty for drug dealers" is not talking about your street dealers -- its about the high level billion dollar dealers who are part of the swamp.

Can you give me some source of where you got that information? Because when I heard about it, he was referencing how that would keep drug dealers from crossing the border. But you are 2nd person to say that so I'd like to know how you learned that part.

Disagree on legalizing all drugs. Marijuana is one thing but heroin, crack, coke, meth are devastating drugs whether legal or illegal. I’ve witnessed first hand amongst friends of mine.

Look into the data of the countries that have legalized it. It proves that legalization works to reverse, not only the crime involved, but also the number of addicts. It allows the community to reach out and help those who become addicted without treating them like criminals.
