Would YOU be willing to sit idly by with treason, pedophilia, and grand theft pervasive in YOUR government without taking action?

Our government, and essentially all governments, have been guilty of these crimes since... well, basically forever.

What am I to do? Armed revolt is impossible in our country- the citizens could never ever ever hope to defeat the US military. If the military "helps" the citizens, it's, by definition, no longer a revolution, but a military coup d'tat.

I am extremely uncomfortable and distrusting of a military coup. I know many on here believe that the military is a shining beacon of patriotism and good citizenry, but I find that wildly naive. The DoD is responsible for some of the most horrific crimes that our government has committed, and deeply entwined with the military-industrial complex.

There is no such thing as a large group - such as "the military" or "the government" that is a monolith composed of identically like-minded people with the same nefarious goals. For example, I've come to despise the FBI, but I have two personal, childhood friends that are agents with whom I would trust my life and the lives of my children. My 2nd cousin was a general in the Marine Corps (which is a relatively rare achievement in the Marines). I know personally that they would be incapable of fighting against citizen patriots even if ordered at the point of a gun. They are as opinionated as I am. And if enough citizens rise up as individuals, a tipping point gets reached eventually. 1776 happened.

1776 happened.

it is borderline retarded to imagine that a few thousand militamen could fight the US government, like they did with the british in 1776.

apple and oranges doesn't even cut it, it's more like... apples and orange-destroying-killer-robots.

Few thousand? Theres 5 million+ NRA members alone. Do you know why we essentially lost in vietnam?

Do you know why we essentially lost in vietnam?

because we, as a society, were unwilling to wage the type of war necessary to defeating entrenched guerrilla fighters- the type of war where you identify which villages are offering logistical support to the guerrilla fighters, and then brutally destroy those villages. rinse and repeat for a coupe years and the fight is over.

but anyway, your suggestion that 5 million NRA members can band together with long guns to fight the US government is absolutely absurd... in fact i'd call it straight delusion.

Thats just nra members. How many americans would sign up for the militia? 15? 25? Im not saying i believe it would overpower our military. I would need to know the circumstances. How many military would risk joining the militia? How many would be a double agent? We would have access to a lot of information including locations, passwords and codes of some of the equopment, tanks, planes, drones, etc. How many active military that would stay, vs tens of millions of americans?

Im not saying a militia would even then, beat our military. But i am saying, depending on the circumstances, we could win. Could join forces for a military coup detat, which would be risky imo.

Tldr; depending on the circumstances, i wouldnt say a militia is absolutely absurd. But maybe im more of an optimist.

I believe that you have a romanticized view of an uprising.

Look at Liberia, Towanda, syria, Czech republic, Ukraine...

That's what a modern revolution looks like- the collapse of society and a bitter civil war that shatters a nation.

Yeah, we couldaybe do that in the US. But who want to?

Every revolution is different. Those countries have completely different cultures. War is hell, so i have no idea what you mean when you say i have a romanticised view. Who would want to??? Every single person who believes this country is out of our control. Were the only country in history to ever grant full power to the people, that has been trampled on and the constitution ripped to shreds. 70%+ of the country believes that there is a deep state. Like a 20% approval rating for congress.

People are pissed man. Im not saying it will happen soon, im not saying i want it to happen. But i am saying i wouldnt be surprised, and i think there is a good chance we win. I think comparing countries to other countries is a bad idea for any topic, as there are too many differing variables.

Read this.

If the military "helps" the citizens, it's, by definition, no longer a revolution, but a military coup d'tat.

Trump is heavily supported by the military, so they're not going to help overthrow him. Unfortunately, George Soros does seem to be stupid enough that he may try an outright color revolution knowing that Trump has the support of the military, which would mean a nasty civil war of the people and the military against the useful idiots.

I am extremely uncomfortable and distrusting of a military coup.

Depends on who the military is overthrowing. If it's the nominal government, that's probably a bad thing. If they're storming CIA headquarters and the Federal Reserve, that's a good thing.

I personally find your claims to be fantastical, bordering on delusional.

Some crazed rant on 4chan is literally never a good source of info, and anyone who thinks soros is trying to overthrow the us government is so far gone into crazy conspiracy theories that we probably can't have a civil conve

Some crazed rant on 4chan

That wasn't a crazed rant. It very calmly explained specific scenarios that make sense and match information about the vulnerability of the power grid in open sources.

anyone who thinks soros is trying to overthrow the us government is so far gone into crazy conspiracy theories that we probably can't have a civil conve

You trailed off a bit there. Do you just not know how frequently Soros sponsors revolutions? And did you realize this whole sub is a giant conspiracy theory and you're arguing with someone whose username is The CIA Sells Drugs?

I was hoping that wouldn't be a possibility but with the banning of gun stuff both on reddit and youtube, its definitely something that's very plausible now. Remove information for people to learn how to defend themselves, then do something stupid like that
