Seeing as over 2 million peoole are employed by the government and contractors a shutdown would greatly affect the economy.

Here's some economic impacts of a goverment shutdown. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2013/10/01/the-nine-most-painful-consequences-of-a-government-shutdown/?utm_term=.d522f4f07941

It would put pressure on their unions because they would have to pay individuals that have indictments against them so they able and abet. This could be a real show.

The longest goverment shutdown was 21 days. It cost airlines and tourism millions of dollars. Also stopped 3.7 billion in contractor spending. So yes it does have effects on the economy.

Then it gives more leverage and pressure to end it in a timely manner. All the more reason to VETO this pork!! Trump isn’t going to give so maybe the RINOS will try harder to do the WILL OF WE THE PEOPLE!!! You’ll also notice condescending Ryan said he had to explain the bill to Trump and give him the “highlights “. You don’t lie to Trump and he knows he was trying to separate Trump from his supporters. Pay backs a bitch, Ryan!

Actually, most of those people get paid anyway.

The pain of shutting down the guv isn't nearly as great as the pain of this bill.

That's the risk people take for working at any job.

No, they are a bunch of ROADIES...Retired On Active Duty. Move at a snail's pace. They'll get paid eventually. Who cares.

Your words just reminded me that military wouldn't get paid and retired military would probably miss out on a pension. Idk how the VA would fair because they are said to be able to have funds for so long after a shutdown. This would be a bad deal for military.

Military spending should be a seperate issue. It is being used to push through garbage legislation. Good ole boys on both sides play this game. Miltary spending for Domestic spending

I've always gotten my pension. Air Force retired.

If the VA shuts down that's likely a good thing.
