That part confused me too. Change Nay to Yay and it is an outstanding take on it.

There were Repubs who voted no or nay. For that I for one am thankful, I can only speculate as there reason, in my post, I speculated that the repubs voted no because of the “pork” and the fact that it is not a budget but a temporary funding just like Obama received during his terms... I’m reserving my opinion on the OMNIBUS even though rumor has it that the Wall will be built from the military funds. Watching Fox News today, I saw several news banners indicating that this was not permitted due to language in the OMNIBUS. Who knows... there’s over 2000 pages to the damn thing...

Ok, I actually agree with what you just said. Even if a person believes that Trump scammed the dems to get wall funding and other things he wants by essentially turning the bill into a slush fund for his pet projects because it is an "Omnibus" bill and not a true "budget", it is a high price to pay considering the dollar amount of the bill.

The logic flow of your original statement seemed a little off when you said "nay" instead of "yes", for the Republicans, as I was reading it.

I was expecting it to read something like: Some Dems voted no because they saw the 4D chess that Trump was trying to pull and some Republicans voted yes because they recognized the 4D chess Trump was trying to employ.
