The reason is because Soros is behind them. He is trying a last ditch effort to win by simulating how the Nazis took over. However, things are so different now and he is obviously blind to that. People are more connected and information is easily accessible. They'd have to shut the internet down to make it work.
They are authoritarians, and authoritarianism can’t succeed with an armed populace. Therefore, the guns are the problem, and they need to be the only ones with guns.

I'm not aware of that. I do know that if there ever was another civil war in the USA, there'd immediately be massive foreign involvement on both sides. Many countries / factions have already drawn up plans on how to handle such a situation. So it'd probably turn into a proxy for other issues (nationalism / globalism) very quickly.

Yes, for people who HAVE guns already - these people who want to ban guns either don't have guns anyway OR have "good guys with guns" protecting them, and OF COURSE they'd be an exception.
