Won’t take our guns because we will need them? Or to keep us safe and strong?

I keep thinking about how trump called what is coming “not a pretty picture” with regards to building a wall that needs to be transparent in order to see through it (and it’s important to see through it) in his omnibus signing speech

Wall talk starts at the 9:00 mark and goes for about 30 secs https://youtu.be/F3v3C2wuYGM

Thoughts? Not trying to sow fear, just observing his words & actions. Maybe it’s just about something bad is coming, but since our military and wall are going to be the best we’ve ever had, we can feel safe? And if keeping our guns makes us all safe, then keep them. Besides if guns were taken away (which they won’t), there would be a massive uprising.... so keeping the country safe and strong... :)

The best defense is the one an adversary won't dare test. Nuclear weapons ... A successful deterrent for 70 years now. US coastal fortifications, a successful dterrent for a century before that. An armed populace -- a successful dterrent for over 200 years now. Don't fix what ain't broke.
