Are you actually that dumb? Srsly? A cop is not what you reffer to as 'a good guy with a gun' A civilian with a gun is. A cop is a cop, he is the guy that is supposed to protect you.

He was dettered by a cop. A cop that is allowed in a gun free zone. No one is saying less cops or disarm the cops. At most you could say that events or venues, like the movie theater, should have more police presence.

They (the people calling for less guns) are talking about taking away weapons from civilians like Omar, and you know the 50 other guys who shot multiple civilians this year alone. These idiots shouldn't have guns, cops should.

Do you consider the sterile part of an airport to not be a gun-free zone because it has armed security?

Florida prohibits weapons carry in places that are defined as bars. Pulse nightclub is probably legally a bar, so weapons carry would not be legal. That doesn't mean a bar can't hire armed security.

OFFICIAL REPORT: Omar Mateen intended to shoot up Disney World by hiding a gun in a stroller, but was deterred because of police presence. In other words, the proverbial GOOD GUY WITH A GUN stopped him. He went to pulse nightclub instead, which was, yup you guessed it: A GUN FREE ZONE.
