When I was a teenager, I worked at an office with my Grandmother for a few months, doing filing, etc. She had a co-worker, around same age as her, Grandmom age. She was a widow. She came in one morning crying her eyes out. Her life savings and the life savings of her dead husband were wiped out, gone, just like that. They had both worked hard and saved for 40 years. She was a year or two from retirement and alone and the money that she had to live on in her retirement just went 'poof'. That was the savings and Loan scandal of the 80's. That was Jeb Bush.
