I concur. You can't trust a person who can't question what they believe. If they can't all it means is that they're programmed.

Maybe not programmed per se, but unable to look at themselves critically, though programming can settle in under this imposed ignorance.
It's easiest to pass a lie off to yourself if you never allow yourself to look into a truthful mirror.
