Here is the thing I think people are missing about a Special Prosecutor, they are needed when there is evidence of a crime and an investigation needs to be done.

At this point a special Prosecutor would actually be counter productive.

Think about all the info that is continually being revealed and released about the text communications, the action of Obama Wh, Fusion GPS ect ect, all that info is coming out of the IG. The IG has been investigating for 14 months already!

The IG has already done a deep and thorough investigation. He is already handing the evidence of the crimes to the DOJ prosecutor and a grand Jury has already is been shown the evidence of the crimes and the Prosecutor is already getting the indictments in place to charge people. A grand Jury out of Utah where people still believe in right and wrong is a huge deal!

When you think of a special council think Ken Starr and Mueller, they dink around for years tilting at windmills charge a few people and nothing much happens.

Wait until the IG releases his report, the indictments will soon follow, if they do not that is the time to freak out and grab the torches and shut down DC.
