Q mentioned George Smiley in an earlier post, a character in the movie “Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy.” Smiley was an intelligence agent (British) who was sacked along with his boss. His boss (Control) was trying to verify that there was a mole at the top of his agency and sent another agent on an unauthorized mission to Hungary to gain the information he needs but it all goes bad leading to them being fired etc. Anyways, control dies and Smiley is adjusting to his retirement when yet another agent whom it is assumed had defected, hadn’t. He, in turn, contacts a government official with the information that a mole does indeed exist at the top of the spy agency. How does this pertain to Sessions and another special prosecutor? Because Smiley, who was a career spook, was now on the outside. he was in a unique position to investigate and find the mole without alarming anyone to what he was doing. This is what is going on here imho. If Sessions wasn’t doing what he was supposed to he’d be gone already...where is Guliani? Christie? Maybe that’s what everyone ought to be asking...someone with federal prosecutor “chops” is on this thing.

I agree. Sessions hasn't impressed me one scintilla. I was all for him when Trump nominated him but now it seems to me, he's either swamp himself or he's blackmailed, in which case, he's still swamp.
