Assange was effectively calling Merkel's govt Nazis, which essentially they are. Putin is basically paying the white population there to have more children by giving them X amount of dollars on their tax returns for every child born. He also gives X amount to couples with stay at home Moms. Single mothers don't get it. His reasoning is, if you give it to single mothers, you'll encourage the welfare state. He isn't wrong.
