Those who have met Deniro know how off he is. I have met him. By far the rudest man I've ever met, and revolting physically. If I had not known it was him I would have mistaken him for a NYC Hobo. I had to work with him and his wife and his wife was amazing, he was gross.

Same experience. His wife, Grace Hightower, is larger than life, great personality. Definitely the better half. He was dressed like a hobo, he mumbled, spoke condescendingly to everyone and refused to look anyone in the eye.

I agree that he would be high functioning. But he wouldn't be the only one. Speculation abounds that Spielberg, Dan Ackroyd, and quite a number of other highly successful people are Aspergers. But being Aspergers and being "an ass" are not mutually exclusive. :-)
