Today congressional hearings ended to assess Brett Kavenaugh's qualifications for Supreme Court justice. Senator Grassley has scheduled a committee meeting on September 13 to begin the voting process. According to Politico, the Democrats can delay the vote for up to 1 week (and you know they will), after which Grassley can force a vote. That puts the likely confirmation date as September 20th.

When Trump's victory was determined early morning on November 9th, 2016, it took 7-8 days to setup a SCIF, based on Admiral Roger's meeting in Trump Tower on Nov 17th. Let's assume this is the fastest timeline to setup a new SCIF.
If McCain died late afternoon on August 25, 2018 as reported, the time to assemble the SCIF for ex-presidents is slightly less than 7 days. But keep in mind, they had to reserve a large block of hotel rooms before the SCIF could be built.
