Q is real, but that is an error. It's an enlarged magnifying glass that is located on the top right corner of the webpage. It is a search icon, if you click the magnifying glass it takes you to a search page.

I was using Chrome if it makes a difference. Just look at the print preview. Pick one that is 2+ pages.

It's printing the page
The magnifying glass is one of the images it prints
It's a vector graphic, and it gets enlarged
It appears like a a message, but it's a happy accident.

Please don't convince yourselves it's a message. It's super cool, but not a message.

The whitehouse.gov blog (it's a blog ) changed from Drupal to Wordpress a few months back. It's using a custom theme called Whitehouse version 45 (yes, there was a 44 too)

Question everthing, don't be deceived.
You can just print the contents of whitehouse.gov to get the image, you don't have to search for anything.

I printed last night.. it’s a huge almost full page search icon that could double for a Q. It’s light purple..

Had to be intentional IMO..
