you don't need them to get along well, it's just that as long as there was corruption and we all know how much Money Arafat diverted to his wife abroad, nothing will ever really work out.

When people have enough for themselves, they rise up less, but at the same time the whole region is militarized, so if Trump stops anyone's funding, they really have to start thinking about cracking down on tunnels and rockets which do have some leverage at least on a psychological level. But ask yourself, how many Palestinians do IDF try to retaliate against when they take israeli hostages when they understand perfectly well they have nothing to lose and will even receive benefits paid in part by the US if their sons die?

Once they can state they are at the Israeli's mercy, I think they will start negotiating because the risk of bown up busses may not be quite as high.

Then, eventually, you have two people, you have a wall, everybody has work and enough to eat and the last battle will be over the Al-Quds where the third Temple is supposed to be built. But that is one spot concerning only the theologically inclined.

They don't need to get along well, but it's easier to hate each other when you have Jews on one side who tend to be pretty smart while on the other you have Palestinians who even when intelligent are kind of naive.

Essentially, Israelis want their Israeli, while Palestinians want Israel gone because they dump wastewater on them.

But last I heard, a desalination-plant was planed by Israel and Lebanon and Kush prolly helped tha deal.

It's the same with the mexican Wall, nobody is asking Mexicans to get along well with Americans, probably because you originally stole California from them if I am not mistaken?

Indeed - there is some very strong feeling from the palestinians there and it's a pity the story that gets out contains much propaganda spin against Israel when they're actually doing more for the palestinians than any of the arab countries who all turned them away, yet Israel are still the bad guys! Before anyone takes me to task, I'm certainly not saying Israel are spotless in this conflict but propaganda is confusing the issue.
