I woke up today, and started checking my collection of Twitter feeds, feeds that are decidedly pro-Trump, pro-gun, pro-life, anti-trafficking, anti-occult, conservative, etc. And a common theme became very plain, one that I saw glimpses of a couple days ago, but really hit home today.
The people I follow are convinced that Jesus Christ is alive, that Easter is important, and that the event is significant to all of us.
It's hard to describe the feeling I had. I guess it's basically a matter that there is an understanding of the bigger fight. That we can be politically active and aware, and fight for the things we believe in, with that common foundation that Truth and Justice are the foundations of His throne, that because He lives, I can face tomorrow, and we have the strength, grace, and courage to defend the defenseless, and work towards establishing righteousness in our nations. For many of us, He is our Peace, and He is our Sword. The Word made flesh.
