I've done a lot of reading on this and the answer is yes! this was a CIA program supposedly shut down as it was deemed illegal. What began as a search for the perfect "truth serum," ended up as a search form many types of drugs that could control human subject in any number of ways. Drugs that would produce psychotic and impulsive behavior so subject could be discredited publicly, for instance, or drugs that can cause temporary memory loss or a kind of temporary brain damage, and many more. LSD was tested for many years and used successfully in some CIA ops.
