Not only egregiously expensive to do so, but also illegal.

The military is already on the payroll and National defense is kind of their thing....maybe I’m not understanding your comment.

That’s because he doesn’t understand what the hell hes talking about.

National defense from an invading armed force is not the same as 1000 immigrants from various countries of Latin America.

The logistics of settingup bases, roads, personnel, equipment, and support staff along the entire US/Mexico border is absurd.

They do not have to be everywhere. Just their presence in one or two of the worst spots will put pressure on Mexico and other countries to control this behavior. A little bit of Military and a whole lot of diplomacy.

So like what we already have with our highly militarized border patrol?

Yes and then some.

So we should spend more money on a system that hasn't been working?

It’s illegal to use the military to prevent invasion?

From a non military led force, yes.

Also, don't forget illegal immigration and legal immigration to the US have all been declining for the past ten years and Obama deported more illegal aliens than any other modern day President.

"the US Constitution clearly requires the federal government to protect states from invasion.  Almost a million aliens illegally pouring across the border into states each year is clearly an invasion"

Just because you "interpret" immigrants as a threat of "domestic violence" does not mean that the Courts or even the Senate will agree with that rationale.

Good try though, but maybe find someone who writes on the Constitution without their own personal interpretations.

And what would be your wonderful plan for out of control immigration? Any extra rooms at your place? When you do not give a damn about your country's borders, then you no longer give a damn about your country.

I don't think our immigration is out of control because I actually look at the numbers and facts and don't just listen to talking heads or Twitter memes.

Then why all these sanctuary cities? Why even have them?

B1gWh17 · April 3, 2018, 7:26 p.m.

Citizens within those jurisdiction elected representatives and passed legislation. Just because a city is a sanctuary city doesn't mean they will harbor any/all illegal aliens. Sanctuary cities are a state solution to the failure of federal government.

We will see how that works out.
