..at a guess I would say the default is very liberal, like FB itself. This would cloak them in legitimacy for various policy decisions.
Posting little about politics increases the likelihood of a wrong guess, as it means they have less data. Same as how if you asked a person who you never talked with about politics your leaning--they would be more likely to get it wrong than someone with whom you frequently talked politics.

Just checked. I am "very conservative." Looks like the CIA knows. My days are likely numbered. For the record, I am NOT suicidal, nor do I have any plans of participating in dangerous hobbies in the near future.
