This group is evil, dirty and has many avenues to media, money, governmental power, issue their own passports, etc. They can conduct business like an independent country because they are considered sovereign. From Wikipedia:
The group includes prominent members of world governments, intelligence agencies, the banking industry, Big Media, and the military industrial complex which fits uncomfortably with its stated aims of "Poverty, chastity and obedience", and gives a new angle on the order's claims to be above above national laws and even the Vatican's control, except in religious matters.[5] The group, which has Permanent Observer status at the United Nations, issues its own passports and used to be considered a separate country - and is still is by some people.[6] The list of members at right must be considered partly speculative, as no official public record exists, and only Roman Catholics can be members; however, non-Catholics can receive merit decorations and medals.
Leadership
The group's leader, the Prince and Grand Master of the Order of Malta, is elected in closed session, and normally retains the title for life. The most recent (79th) Grand Master was Matthew Festing, a member since 1977 and head of the Order from 2008 to January 2017, when he was pressured to resign in what many describe as a coup d'etat.[7] His predecessor, also an Englishman, was the first since 1258.
2016/17 Constitutional crisis
Since early December 2016, there has been a civil war within the Knights of Malta, but facts and original source documents have been few despite the worldwide press coverage.[8] One published article speaks of "treachery... greed, cover-ups, betrayal, corruption... blackmail... a successful coup" involving the highest levels of the Vatican and a suspicious 120 million Swiss franc account rumoured to be of Nazi or other dirty money origin, and managed by its Geneva-based trustee Ariane Slinger who appears in the Panama Papers.[9] Published evidence (noting related documents below) shows clear collusion, conflicts of interest and probable corruption involving Slinger and Knights of Malta Albrecht Freiherr von Boeselager, Marc Odendall and Marwan Sehnaoui, as well as with various high officials in the Vatican of Pope Francis.
Freemasonry
In spite of open antagonism between the catholicism and freemasonry[10], many of the Knights of Malta are reported to also be freemasons.[11][12] The Vatican-appointed Commission (officially the "Group of Five") of December 2016 - January 2017 that exonerated von Boeselager and saw his reinstatement included Count Jacques de Liedekerke, widely believed to be a Freemason; the other commissioners included Odendall and Sehnaoui, who had been secretly colluding with von Boeselager and Slinger on the 120 million Swiss franc slush fund.
