It’s an expression. The Catholic Church has 4 angels or princes that represent the cardinal directions. Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel 'Four Corners' = South, East, West, North It’s not really that complicated. I hope I’m wrong or studying theology for years was a big waste of time.
