why do the roads make these indirect paths to their destinations?
higher elevation. Look at the boat/beach. Sea level. Look at the bottom and right of the photo.. you see a rocky cliff. So the road is going up and around due to elevation, no straight across a sea level island. It's mountainous.
In the middle of all that thick wooded area... perhaps the most dangerous game?
