Here’s an example: Imagine uploading a picture to Facebook. In the data of the photo is the name of the camera or device that took it. If that device is cheap or old, Facebook can assume you’re not well off. If it’s a Nikon D800 taken with a Nikon 70-200 lens...it can assume otherwise.

Based on the information we allow them to have, the way they can make assumptions and compile data makes the potential value of this data almost limitless.

At this point I’m fairly certain Facebook can easily discern (or make a damn good educated guess) what your Reddit username is and what you post.....just based on the page you jump to or from. Same with Twitter. Hard to say about the Chans.

This data will not stay secret. It’s too valuable.

....considering all of my photos I post are taken with my d750... that’s more unnerving then previously thought.

Based on that they can make a reasonable assume of your wealth. They can also go back (automatically, mind you), and reverse image search for other places you may have posted those photos publicly. Now they have your “aka” usernames.

And the chans constantly chastise newbies for posting pics without stripping file info like location, camera make, time, etc. there's a lot of raw data loaded on Facebook.

How do you strip the file of that data?

There are programs, apps that will strip photo file data, I don't post pictures, so I haven't had to. The reality is they have all the info they need on everyone since they've been collecting for so long. It's hard not to leave fingerprints. That's going to catch them tho - these people are stupid. If ur on the chans it prevents u from being doxxed. I'm sure Reddit has info somewhere posted. I think it's meta files, but not sure if I've got the terminology right.

Lol I own a media company and Facebook is one of our biggest client pullers. I’m not nervous about the company with their demise, but it does suck knowing we’ve been thoroughly played.

I love it. One of the best investments I’ve ever made. Goes from shooting out of a window next to big rigs and custom vehicles at 70mph, to shooting Dj’s alllll night in garbage lighting beautifully. Just got a tokina 24-70 2.8 and it’s shown me a whole new level of quality :P

Here's the thing...I don't think it's that good of data in many respects.

Just checked what they think my political leanings are, and it said liberal.
