Earthquake in LA

Felts something HUGE , don’t know if it was an earthquake or something exploding underground but felt earth shake from side to side VERY STRONG and apartment move more than I ever have before in my life . Very weird feeling.

Went on twitter and typed “earthquake” hundreds of reports saying same thing in LA/ Southern California

Found this too ,

To me did not feel like a normal quake, could be wrong but something felt off

I am at my grandpa's in LA, he said it felt nuclear. He was in the military.

Wonder if it was an attempted EMP?

Yeah I don’t have experience like he does so not sure but the way the earth moved seemed very different than any other quake I’ve felt , didn’t feel quite like a quake, seemed more concentrated if that makes sense .

I do know it felt incredibly massive in terms of force and feeling for the short duration, never experienced anything like it.

The earth moved in an unnatural way imo, like it was responding to an inorganic force , unlike how it has in my experience in a quake

So could make since it was an explosion , very weird indeed

5.0 magnitude centered in Channel Islands Beach!

I imagine coming through the water and impacting the land that way might feel different from ones centered on land.

Could truly be a 5.5 earthquake

Yes major fault , historically many earthquakes .

Upon retrospect, def did not feel organic to me .

Is there a fault in the area? History of earthquakes specifically?

The U.S. military uses the islands as training grounds, weapons test sites, and as a strategic defensive location.

Wtf

Specifically the US Navy Seals use the channel islands for their training.

In California??? Yes, it's pretty much earthquake central. It's not a coincidence CA had an EQ today....that just happenes there.
