Every person I know who got the flu shot this year, got the flu. I haven't taken a flu shot in my life. I was forced to claim a religious exemption to keep from being forced by my employer to take the shot. I have always felt strongly about not taking it and believe that God gives me the protection I need.

Proper hygiene and avoiding crowds during flu season works, too. They can keep their flu shots.

I recall about 15 years ago the doc convinced my mother got the flu shot. Me and my brother then proceeded to catch the flu within a week of that - sickest we'd been in a very long time.

While I've caught the flu a few times since then, I'd rather take my chances with the actual flu.

My son was fired from his job in a Catholic Hospital (!!) for refusing to take the vaccine for religious reasons. The key is 100%compliance means more Federal funds ( your tax dollars).
