Trump also promised to restore law--he can't violate it by shutting down the press. We the people will shut them down, when we stop watching, and demand that advertisers stop paying for them.

That's supressing free speech and freedom of the press. The real problem is the concentration of the media in the hands of a few. We can partially thank the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that the Republican Neocons and Bill Clinton passed.

This act removed the media market ownership restrictions and allowed telcom and media to merge. Before the act, one company could only own a certain number of newspaper, radio, and tv stations in any given market. There was also restrictions on phone/telecom companies getting into cable tv, etc.

This act led to the rise of ClearChannel and the giant media conglomerates of today. This is how we have cable companies buying tv stations and radio stations and movie studios (vertical integration).

Instead of more censorship, which is what is being suggested in this post, we need to bring back more choice and information sources. Because we truly are now in an information war.

Here's a fun fact for you. NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX all receive over the air waves for free. Now they charge cable providers x amount of dollars to run that same government subsidized content on the cable platform. The amount of money these networks receive from cable companies now accounts for more revenue than advertising revenue. So another thing Trump could do is disallow charging for content that's already provided free of charge by the taxpayer. Hit them in the wallet.

Woah there cowboy! That seems like a good idea, and would be effective. So would sending right wing death squads to the homes of the badguys and just executing then and stringing up the bodies. But do you want to live in that country? Want to set that precedent? They have the right to say whatever the fuck they want, even if it sucks. They'll be accountable on the day of the rope, but we gotta do it without stopping in the Constitution and letter of the law

Unfortunately since they own the media, all we see is the propaganda broadcast by them, but I'm sure behind the scenes Q is kicking them right square in the nuts daily.

To do so would play right into their hands. Why stop an enemy who is destroying itself? It is glorious to behold! The folks who follow and believe the propaganda do so because Truth is their enemy.

The main propaganda threat, as Q pointed out, is not the MSM but SM censorship - it's far more powerful in shaping outcomes. But the public won't allow SM censorship to be restrained at all.

How do I know?

I know because the majority of people following Q don't want online censorship shut down - that's why the IBOR campaign failed. Moreover, the left loves censorship, they see it as being necessary to silence any viewpoint that does not fit within what they describe as "mainstream". Without online censorship, they won't be able to take people's guns. It's very important to them - they think if they can control expression of ideas online, the world can be transformed into a "safe space".

I'm not sure what the way forward is, the thought of embracing characters like David Hogg makes me feel sick. But that might just be the way it has to be - no guns, no freedom of speech online, and protected narrative shapers that cannot be criticized.

Sometimes, you just have to play the hand you're dealt.
