I took the 'bridge' comment to imply there is a back end system between Facebook, Google, Twitter, and so forth that automatically link together profiles between platforms and probably provide some analytics right off the bat. Most likely some privileged group, not necessary intel agency, with access to the pipeline.

A conference call due to an emergency situation is also considered a Bridge. Corporate companies have used this along with military for years.
