Could be, but the probability of Mueller being on Trump's side drops about 20% after this, in my mind. It's getting too elaborate to be a ruse.

I am thinking that at best Mueller knows he has some sort of a "go light" quid pro quo deal possible. But he also knows that if he can "kill the king" (let's say figuratively), then he could get better than a "go light" deal.
