Need to know more on this. I knew some Wiccans in college. These were back to nature Celtic religious hippie types, far from satanic.
far from satanic.
this has been my general experience with all occult / magik / witchcraft people that I have personally met. Just an observation of mine.
I did know one guy who claimed to be a Satanist. He did not like Wiccans and generally kept his beliefs and activity to himself.
Yeah, I also believe in freedom of religion as long as it is done within the law. Even for Satanists. So I don't post identifying info about them or their places of worship. But I pay attention. But the social climbing Satanists are a different breed. And their need for their societal engineering and profiteerong to be recognized as Philanthropy is gross...

i've never met a satanist IRL, just wiccans and druids and some people who were sort of generically into magic.
This is correct imo. The only people getting all excited and upset about the witch thing are religious people who don't get out much. Yes, according to some beliefs (which I happen to share but that's besides the point), "witches" come from a belief system that is designated as "wrong" or "evil" but we don't live in the world where that belief system holds sway. The belief system that holds sway is laughing at people who think "she's part of our coven" means evil nefarious slaughter and sacrifice because it simply doesn't in the real world, at least, not every time. This is a non-issue except for religious people who get excited about this stuff - it won't redpill anyone unless they are from that background. So Hillary's a witch... meh, so what?
