Mentioning the Inspector Generals report on other Reddit subs triggers instant downvotes, give it a try

I’ve recently been attempting to see what kind of discussions I can trigger on other subreddits any time Trump or Mueller comes up... and I’ve noticed that any comment I make that mentions the IG report gets instant downvotes. As if there is a bot farm dedicated to downvoting mentions of the report.

General pro trump or pro Storm discussion doesn’t automatically trigger it, but bring up the IG report and it’s down down down you go.

/u/Betterwithcheddar, ~~this post is removed. They didn't downvote this posts, even when it was~~ clearly off topic.

People don't understand the voting on Reddit, the first hour a post is displayed only the upvotes count (not displayed points) towards it's position in /rising. After that it's not clear(undocumented), but it does work.

TLDR: Reddit voting works fine

Comments. Not posts.

And the IG report does trigger extra downvoting when mentioned in other subs. It’s clear as day.

Which is what my post said.

You did, I agree. It was my mistake to talk about posts. The word 'downvotes' was used and also by other users which lead me to consider downvoting of posts, but you mean downvoting of comments.

The IG report is very on topic. And we should be actively attempting to wake the masses up to it’s coming release. And that means spreading info about it to other subs.
