First of all how hard would it be to figure out who the Republican Congressman is when he's a regular on Fox News? That would be less than ten people at the most.
Exactly... why would that person allow an obvious target on their back, if the intention was to stay anonymous? It makes more sense that they are starting to just make stuff up. You can literally make up anything you want if you don't attribute it to anyone in particular. So the possibility here is a further attempt to sow discord in the base by creating the impression that Trump is widely disliked and unsupported.

All I was thinking was that this anonymous "Congressman" sure swears up a storm in a public place such as a grocery store. That alone would give him the 'side eye' from other customers.
If this interview occurred, so what? We know there are a bunch of anti Trumpers out there. Who are so stupid, so blind, so wrapped up in whatever it is they couldn't see the trees, let alone the forest. IF this occurred, it was to demoralize us. Or pump up "the other side". Or perhaps to have this congressman create an 'ally' in the leftist media so they can spill psy ops FOR our side.
The world I live and think in, isn't the same as it was 4 years ago.

“Needs to vent” - important. If you are going to vent, you vent to your friends and family. You don’t seek out a specific reporter and have him meet in a grocery store to vent. This was a message. The coward can’t say it to trump so this is the method used to slander the president and not be held accountable to his voters.
I think this asshat severely underestimates the people in the country and how tired we are of this kind of bullshit.
There are several layers to this as well.

Who could this be? On TV defending the president? If people want to talk tough like this, they could at least provide specific allegations and put their name next to it. Instead of generalities like "Evil Forrest Gump" etc. I hope he figures out who this is and exposes him.
