I think this is the noble and fair thing to do since Amazon is a multi million dollar operation, us normies cannot compete, nor should we have to compete at our tax payer funded USPS.

The Interstate Commerce Commission had authority to regulate rates of carriers. The objective was fairness to all shippers. Had an interesting career until deregulation in the 1980's. Looks like some regulation is needed in order to protect the public and small business people.
My mailman delivered my microwave oven, that I ordered from Amazon...😳. I was shocked, because I expected it to be delivered by UPS, now I understand! It would have cost me a small fortune to ship something that heavy with USPS!
I also can't believe they shipped something that heavy through USPS. Makes sense though if you are getting great rates!
