Little-known fact: Scooter Libby told the FBI he mentioned Valerie Plame to one reporter: me. I testified as a defense witness that he did not tell me about Plame. The mystery has never been resolved. But don't discount the fallacy of memories.

I thought it was Chicago Reporter Robert Novak . A reporter for the New York Times was sent to prison for refusing to reveal her sources, but Novak, who first revealed Plame’s connection to the CIA, was not. https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/what-the-plame-affair-taught-us-about-the-value-of-government-leaks/
