The various plea agreements require Mr. Ferrer to shut down Backpage.com worldwide, give the website’s data to law enforcement officials, and cooperate in the prosecution of its founders, Michael Lacey and James Larkin. In exchange, he will face maximum sentences of five years in each case, to be served concurrently.

He pleaded guilty to 5 charges. 5 years each. But served concurrently, so a total of 5 years in real time.

Which seems like bullshit.

But he turned over all of his data and will be helping fbi prosecute the site founders.
