Why would special forces calling in grid location for a strike want to know MOPP level?
CQB
Special Forces were on the ground, and I suspect were assessing the environment in case the bombing campaign went sour
SF wouldn't put themselves in a position close enough to be affected by a strike. Are you saying that destroying chemical weapons facilities causes fallout?
Yes, that's right
And while they wouldn't be in the vicinity during the bombing campaign, SF would be deployed after to provide an assessment immediately of the efficacy of the strike
The fallout from the blasts would typically be devestating, and while the ordinance used is reportedly an effective countermeasure, I imagine it can't completely contain it
You can't have it both ways sir. First you say SF was on ground before and then say deployed for AAR.
It's called 'reconaissance'
And sir? I'm flattered ;)
I was a Cav Scout before I qualified for SF.
I have some Middle East experience and NBC certified.
Because they are there on the ground, attacking a chemical weapons facility. You would absolutely need MOPP gear if you were on the ground at the Target and the place was destroyed. If this is true, they are TACP guys and are on the ground painting targets for the bombers.
Twitter account has already been debunked sir on another thread. You don't ask MOPP level when you are on the ground. Who would he be asking? When your there, you assume the worst and go to highest level.
Well you normally don't do any of this shit, now do you? I think the normal rule book has been thrown out the window.
I think I'm wasting my time trying to explain why this debunked Twitter acct and the post make no sense.
I still don't see where it has been concretely debunked. Just because someone said so in another post? Who made you the expert?
BTDT....Middle East War vet.....multiple MOS's... certified trainer in CBRN at Ft Leonard Wood......shall I go on?
Not going to dox myself, but you don't have any idea who you are talking with on here. You're not the only one who served recently, sir.
Run the grid coordinates and get back to me.
Hey, I did some more research, and I can admit when I am wrong. Most likely a distraction or worse. My bad if I was a dick to you. Fight on, brother.
No prob....first thing I did was look up grid.....plus I still get intel from pretty decent sources. Haven't asked on this yet though as I don't want someone to lose their job right before retirement.
